How To Know The Computer’s Motherboard Details In Windows XP

The other day we showed you how to determine the basic configuration of your computer that is the Hard Disk, RAM and the Processor. (Incase you missed it please check the written tutorial here and the video here) This time, I have came across a new problem some days back when I formatted my friends PC. After installing Windows XP on his machine I ask him friend for the CD that comes along it to install the drivers. Lol his blank face was clearly understandable that what is going on in his brain. It is a great hard work to make him explain the things up so I took my other way, the System Information utility. System Information is an inbuilt utility in Windows XP that shows you complete details of your hardware. To open it follow the below instructions

Click Start -> Click on All Programs -> Accessories -> System tools -> Click on System Information

But unfortunately I got this one on his PC

(We will show you how to fix that later) Hmmm!!! :?: What next  One solution is that there are some third party softwares that scans your PC then finds the missing drivers and provide you with direct links to download them. But for these softwares you need to shell out bucks. We will see all these softwares in future. Right now I need to do something for his PC. As I was Googling through I got this good freeware utility that made my day. Its a free application called Belarc Advisor. But how can it help me ?Well this tool is a really good one which builds a detailed profile about your computer’s hardware, Microsofts hotfixes, Antivirus detials, Internet Security Benchmarks and displays it in your browser.

You can download a free copy from here

Now after Downloading follow these steps below to install it.

Click On I Agree

Click on Install A pop up window with th Progress Bar will appear

And now Select the Option Remember this choice and don’t ask again and Click on No

Then Installation is done now the Belarc Advisor Analyse your PC

Now in the browser you will be shows all the details and you can find the MotherBoard information at the bottom.

This is my motherboard details which I got

So folks if you think your comment might help me do better please go further in posting one.
