How to create User accounts in Windows XP

User accounts plays a vital feature in Windows XP because many users need privacy to their personal account files etc so Its better they separate themselves by creating different user accounts in Windows XP. Its not necessary that everyone wants the same settings which you like some one needs to be different and his choice of difference should be respected keeping this in mind today this tutorial will help you to create accounts whether an Administrative or Limited accounts (for users with restricted access). This can be done by the account with administrator privileges.  Now Lets us start creating an User Account

Click on Start -> Click on to Control Panel -> Click on User Accounts


Click on Create a new account from the options under Pick a task

Write down your desired name for your account and click on next

If in case there is no user created administrator account you will need to create one Administrator account first and then proceed with another accounts If in case you already have an Administrator account (most of you does) then you can check the Limited account option if you want to create an limited account and then proceed by clicking on Create Account.

Log off your Windows to check an account on your Login Screen

    hi,
    I am looking for how to create an account in which the other users cannot access drives and other programs which i have installed in admin account.I created an account and provided it limited access but when i log into it it has access to all my drives and other installed programs. I’ll really appreciate your help

    when you create an account, why not create a guest account for your child.

    I am pretty sure about linux where one can create a root account and others as children account which have only those rights as approved by administrator. Would surely like the admin to write a detailed review about this so that its useful for all of us.
