Hey guys, I am writing a tutorial on Windows XP quite after a long time. This tutorials is as important as simple is it. System Tray, for those who dont know is the bottom right part of your monitor screen where your windows clock and other tiny icons of running applications exist.
In this tutorial we are going to see how you can customize those tiny icons where to display them or hide them or hide them in inactive. Basically this is important because many people don’t like their system tray filled with icons so people need as less and only very important icons to appear there
Then the second reason is (you might feel this ridiculous but) “I personally feel that the startup performance of a computer gets slow due to many icons in the system tray.”
How to Customize the TaskBar System Tray Icons in Windows XP
Customizing the taskbar system tray icons is quite a lot simple in Windows XP. All you need to do is follow these simple steps..
Right Click the taskbar and click on Properties
Now click on the Customize Button beside “Hide inactive icons”
And now to which ever icon you dont want to appear anytime on the system tray
Click on its Behaviour and select “Always Hide” option
Click OK. Click Apply to apply the settings
That’s it, its done.. Thought anything more ? Hold on hold on.. Any comment for me ? Thanks !
