The number one factor that reflect a blogs publicity is the blogs traffic. A blog with zero or equivalent traffic is nothing but your personal diary online. Well if you are the one like me who want to make some money as well with your blog then traffic is the vital thing that leads to revenue generation.
Google reports an approximate of 12000 searches for “blog traffic” and an approx 60000 searches for “free traffic” every month followed by other searches like increase traffic, increase blog traffic etc made a couple thousand times leading it to 100,000 visitors trying to find ways to get some free traffic each month.
You can find many bloggers helping you out get traffic by some methods. And today even I thought of writing the same to help you out. These are the 3 methods that I feel really worked for my blog to get some serious traffic.

I Love Social Media
Seriously this is the best method out there to get some serious traffic boost. And I think almost every blogger knows how to generate traffic from social media websites. The best social media website that gives me most of the hits is StumbleUpon. If you aren’t certain how to do this then, I have a post on how to generate some serious traffic from Stubleupon which you can read here.

Comment and Comment and Comment
Yes this is another way to get some kilos of traffic. But it takes time.. I do write a lot of comments on others blogs and personally speaking this way I get around 50-100 visitors from comments on other blogs. Another advantage of writing comments is that you may get some link juice if the blog has enabled dofollow to all the links in comments.. Some blogs do have this..

Ping the RSS Directories
RSS Directories are like your regular website directories provided the only difference is that they index only blogs. RSS Directories send a couple of interested visitors to your blog which may help you get some leads for your affiliate links. Pinging the RSS Directories is a way to notify these websites that you have written something new on your blog and ask them to index this. Their index is updated by pinging them which is similar like submitting a sitemap to google. To get a part ofyour traffic from these what you can do is go to these directories and ping your blogs RSS Feed. Ping-O-Matic is a beautiful free service that allows you to ping to many popular RSS Directories at a single click.
Want some hits to your website ? Don’t forget to leave a comment here as this may also help you get some hits off my website..

Hey Steve,
I think the Website field is where you put your URL in.. I don’t mind it anyways but other bloggers may on their blogs..
Have a nice day
I’m here to tell everyone that you can spend a lifetime on social networking sites in vain attempts at getting traffic. It can easily become a fulltime effort without fulltime rewards. Digg, especially, seems to be a waste.
And what’s more, if you submit your own stuff to social networking sites, the hardcore people there will start chastising you for being a “spammer” even if your content is high quality and not a sales pitch.
Very true Omar, Digg is utter crap unless you have lots and lots of fans.
I suggest Stumbleupon for everyone but even thats getting ugly every since ebay took over.
